Looking better! But we can't always use the subdivision height in the base scalebar class methods, because if it's a non-tick style then users won't be able to change this and they may want a height < the default subdivision height.... |

Yes, indeed, you are right! It was an oversight. The FlagUsesSubdivisions (or, better, a new FlagUsesSubdivisionsHeight) could be used the handle both cases correctly. Now should be fixed. I'd like to try to make some other improvements to the scalebar in the future: e.g., add subdivisions for right segments also to other scalebar styles (a new FlagUsesSubdivisionsHeight could be added to differentiate the ticks style from the other ones), add an option to draw subdivisions ticks for the first right segment only. |

…IBRARY debian/rules contains sed invocation for calculation of PYTHON_LIBRARY path. At debian sid, sed fails here with message: sed: -e expression #1, char 11: unknown option to `s' This causes by invalid escaping of '#' symbol in sed expression (expression is defined in quotes, not in double-quotes): PYTHON_LIBRARY=$(shell python3-config --ldflags --embed | sed -e 's\#-L\(.*\) -L/usr/lib -l\([^ ]*\) .*$$\#\1/lib\2.so\#') Removing of escape symbols before '#' fixes this. Maybe this solution should be checked with older versions of 'make'.

Description
It seems to me this could be a better way to handle ticks and labels also when the subdivisions ticks height is greater than the segments ticks height.
What do you think about it?
