V4.01 rephrased the definitions of PropertyPath and NavigationPropertyPath and added absolute paths, which in combination leads to the strange effect that these two kinds of path expressions can now reference term definitions.

This is certainly surprising and afaik unintended.

Proposal

Revert back to the sharper definition from V4.0 Errata 03, see comparison of 4.0 and 4.01 text.
