Expected Behavior

"Virtual Camera" on Mac can work.

Current Behavior

When click "Start Virtual Camera", it alerted "Could not find virtual camera.".
But I am very sure I have authorized OBS virtual camera.
I run the command "systemextensionsctl list", the results includes obs as below:

*	*	2MMRE5MTB8	com.obsproject.obs-studio.mac-camera-extension (30.0.0/6829539522)	com.obsproject.obs-studio.mac-camera-extension	[activated enabled]

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Click "Start Virtual Camera"
  2. It alerted "Counld not find virtual camera" sometime.

...

Anything else we should know?

No response

Does this persist after logging out and in? If so, does it persist after restarting your machine? Sometimes macOS will fail to start the extension despite installing it correctly.

@jcm93
This issue persists even if i reboot my mac.
I found that after i installed the virtual camera, OBS can found this vcam.
But if i relaunched the OBS, sometime vcam of OBS can works, sometime doesn't work.

I also had this issue when version 30 was on beta. I notice every time I update the OBS, the virtual camera will fail to start unless I reinstall OBS.

Hi,
I had the same issue - the latest RC did work fine for me. The final release does show this bug again :(

EDIT: I just changed the setting to use Apple rather than the other output, and it seems to start now:
