Clearly correct, and possibly worth a backport. Approved.
Can you remind me what changed in 4.10 that left the code this fragile/buggy?
We basically started to print the last part of the error message
with 4.10 and when reviewing the PR that introduced the change I didn't catch the issue at the time. Looking on the bright side, the fact that the change is now clearly correct is a sign that the |
Toplevel functions exported by the Printtyp should in general prepare all types involved in the printing. The toplevel `constructor`, `label` and `extension_only_constructor` functions didn't prepare their arguments and return types making the printer loops on such types.

Toplevel functions exported by the Printtyp should in general handle by themselves all preparation phases for the types involved in the printing.
The toplevel
constructor
,label
andextension_only_constructor
functions didn't prepare their arguments and return types. It was thus possible to make the printer loops on such types. For instance, the type printer crashes when printing the type of the argument ofA
insince OCaml 4.10 .
This PR fixes that issue by making sure that the printing function used in module inclusion errors goes through the required preparation phase.
