SOLO: Overview

Overview

The SOLO is a closed-system quadrotor platform used by the lab for photography purposes.The drone uses a combination of smartphone and transmitter for livestreaming video and controlling both drone and gimbal. The drone produces its own wifi signal over which to connect, instead of RC. The SOLO is no longer supported, as the company has moved away from drones, and as such the drones are harder to maintain and replace. In addition, because the drone is a closed system, it is of little use for anything besides filming.
