I have checked that keys are being validated by the bootstrapping process. This is done when node info is being json unmarshalled which includes unmarshalling the key encodings. This step calls
crypto.DecodePublicKeywhich makes sure the encoding is a valid public key.This is only a short term solution, the long term option is to update the staking contract to validate the keys.
In this PR, I added minor logging changes to print the file and identify the invalid key in case any of the staking contract keys is invalid (there are about 600 of them).
