This issue is about writing a new experiment that will allow the detection of TLS middleboxes using iterative networking tracing. This extends #1559. The underlying methodology is described here. The main objectives include:

  • Implementing the network tracing experiment
  • Designing a measurement spec for the experiment
  • Providing support for uTLS

We will track the progress of the experiment here. We can close this issue once we have a working prototype that allows us to detect middleboxes successfully.
