Keymappings #6754
Comments
hey @danzeeeman could you provide a bit more info? Examples of what is problematic, what is missing or broken etc. |
Well I guess if you look at what Arduino or Processing do in terms of
keyCodes values.
If you try to send key codes from openFrameworks to the Arduino Keyboard
library you have to add a mapping layer and giant switch statement for all
the special keys etc etc. I think the Arduino mapping and the GLFW mappings
are the same so we should just use the GLFW key code values.

It would help make this issue less vague. Thanks!

One of the reasons we have different mappings is to support international keyboards which glfw doesn't support for the normal pressed/release event (only for the char event) but as long as you only modify the special key mappings that should be fine I think. |
I'm working with keymapping and noticed how much ofEvents needs help....
for instance we are mixing up a lot of things to get around the way GLUT did stuff and since we don't do GLUT can we have it closer to what GLFW does?
