Hi @bilalcaliskan. Thanks for your PR.

I'm waiting for a openshift member to verify that this patch is reasonable to test. If it is, they should reply with /ok-to-test on its own line. Until that is done, I will not automatically test new commits in this PR, but the usual testing commands by org members will still work. Regular contributors should join the org to skip this step.

Does this make the script pass tools like shellcheck? I'm only in favor of refactoring of this nature if we're doing so in order to adhere to a decently defined spec.

Master branch is closed! A major refactor is ongoing in devel-40. Changes for 3.x should be made directly to the latest release branch they're relevant to and backported from there.
