@dmueller2001, please take a look on a preview available here

  • Transparency gradient added to Clayton's photo. (As the left shoulder is "cut" on the photo, we're unable to make the whole banner a "red -> navy blue" gradient, but I guess it's not so bad.)
  • Several texts like the call for download action, video introduction text, menu texts, docker, kubernetest, CNCF, OCI texts are not defined. Will we have this content delivered, or should we be creative here? (At this time, I have kept the placeholder texts there, including the menu.)
  • Targets were added to majority of the links. Please double check that they lead to where you expect them. The only dead link is the "all-in-one VM".
  • Origin all-in-one VM is not described within the site, but it's supposed to be linked. Do we want to duplicate the content from https://www.openshift.org/vm/ on a separate page with a similar style, or link it externally (where)?
  • Do we want to have the technical overview video opened in a modal window on the site (as a single video), or go to the YouTube (as it's now in the preview)?
  • The "Join Commons" section was amended slightly; links to events & participants were added, the "Join Commons" header is now a button.
  • All the Docker, Kubernetes, CNCF, OCI "Learn more" links lead to respective home pages.
  • The Red Hat and Powered by OpenShift logos used to have dark blue backgroud, not quite the same as the banner. I've replaced the logos with ones having transparent background.
  • External links, i.e. pretty much all of the links on this site, open in a new tab/window.
  • The css styles for commonality posts have been modified slightly to fix the alignment.
  • The SIGs' headers are linked to the respective SIG sign-up pages on commons.
  • Youtube - I have embedded the whole commons briefing playlist, but I'm not sure what to do with the static images that mimic the YouTube interface. We probably want these removed? Also, the playlist is ordered ascending from the oldest briefing, maybe we can reorder it - adding the new videos on top of the playlist.
  • Favicon added.
  • A few adjustments were made to the Gruntfile.

Site is migrated to Middleman. Current work in progress can be found in the 'relaunch' branch.

@dmueller2001, waiting for additional content mentioned in your email & clarifications mentioned above.
The preview has been updated.

@jirifiala - the picture of clayton needs to not have the left shoulder
"cut" - should I reshoot it? what dimensions do you need? the gradient
looks fine on the side with the writing but not on the side with clayton.

@dmueller2001 , I have only the picture provided above in this issue, please provide an alternative or re-take it so Clayton's right shoulder is there. In regards of the dimensions, the width is just fine and can be adjusted easily. The height depends on how much text you would like to put below the "Technical overview of Origin". Current height seems to be fine for 2-4 lines of text.
Also, please provide content for any missing text and verify that the links are correct in the preview.
Thanks.

The 'all-in-one vm' article has been added (1.3 instructions only), adjusting the visual style to the new front page. The preview and the relaunch branch have been updated.

Currently pending items:

  • clarification re the youtube videos
  • the missing content
  • a new photo
  • links verification

* Add the `cluster up` as prefered way of getting started with
Openshift. This follows the content for the rebuild of the website
(openshift-cs#46) which is not live yet. Closes openshift-cs#47
