Running from Docker Container Fails #5366
Comments
You're missing some mount instructions - you need to use the full command.

Thanks @smarterclayton. This seems to have resolved the mount issue but now I'm getting
|
That's a known limitation of cadvisor / kubernetes / openshift inside of a docker container (kubernetes/kubernetes#9689). It's not yet resolved. You can ignore the error for now. |
We've updated the docs on docs.openshift.org with additional flags to pass to the docker run command (--pid=host and taking 'ro' off of /sys:/sys), I believe this can now be closed. |
This still happens with docker v17.04.0 $ sudo docker run -t -i --name "origin" --privileged --pid=host --net=host -v /:/rootfs:ro -v /var/run:/var/run:rw -v /sys:/sys -v /sys/fs/cgroup:/sys/fs/cgroup:rw -v /var/lib/docker:/var/lib/docker:rw -v /var/lib/origin/openshift.local.volumes:/var/lib/origin/openshift.local.volumes:rslave openshift/origin start Here's the output if you run it with -t -i instead of -d: W0525 17:27:56.608088 18769 start_master.go:288] Warning: assetConfig.loggingPublicURL: Invalid value: "": required to view aggregated container logs in the console, master start will continue. |
I'm trying to get Origin up and running on an AWS Linux AMI and am getting some strange errors when I attempt to start the container from these instructions. Here is my start command, and the meat of the log output (the last
SyncLoop
section keeps looping)Start command
sudo docker run -d --name "openshift-origin" --net=host --privileged -v /var/run/docker.sock:/var/run/docker.sock -v /tmp/openshift:/tmp/openshift openshift/origin start --loglevel=5
