This is weird behavior but has been happening for some Open Collectives. I'll post on the SLACK board. |

Does anyone know what these links and images are supposed to do?

I am asking since there is an asymmetry between the way the Contributors and Backers have been added (with a single img) compared to 9 link + img.

Not sure why the assymetry exists, might just be that it’s a work in progress.

I checked the preview, but I don't see any avatar. Maybe because we don't have sponsors. Do you see anything there? :)

The PR looks great. I'm loving how the Contributors are shown. My comment now is will all the emotions and the rainbow feel all over :) too much colors. But that's Jan's fault :) Thanks @monkeywithacupcake for your contribution! |

It adds two badges at the top to show the latest number of backers and sponsors. It also adds placeholders so that the avatar/logo of new backers/sponsors can automatically be shown without having to update your README.md. [more info]. See how it looks on this repo.

P.S: As with any pull request, feel free to comment or suggest changes. The only thing "required" are the placeholders on the README because we believe it's important to acknowledge the people in your community that are contributing (financially or with code!).
