Seriously, no. This is just code churn for the sake of it... And no it won't make the slightest bit of difference to any layout because (a) spaces are collapsed in HTML by definition and (b) those spaces aren't in HTML, they're in embedded ruby code... |

This may or may not fix #998 but the whitespace is unnecessary in any case.
