Introduction and Request for Guidance on Contributing to Oppia #18195
-
Dear Mentor's, I am Ayush Upadhyay, a first-year undergraduate student pursuing CSE-IT. I am excited about contributing to the open-source community and participating in GSoC. I learned about open source and GSoC from my friends, and after researching various organizations, I found Oppia to be a perfect fit for my interests and skills.I am interested in contributing to Oppia in the long term, and my ultimate goal is to participate in GSoC 2024. In my first semester, I learned C, C++, and Java, and I have a basic level of understanding in DSA. Recently, I have started development and I am learning JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. I am also familiar with Git and GitHub. I would like to know how I can start contributing to Oppia and what technologies I need to learn to make meaningful contributions. I am committed to consistently learning and contributing to the project in parallel. Please provide me with references and resources that I can use to learn the necessary technologies. I understand that consistent guidance from mentors is essential for my success in this project. Could you please guide me on how to contact mentors and what channels are available for communication? I would appreciate any guidance and advice that you can provide. Thank you for considering my request, and I look forward to contributing to Oppia's project. Sincerely, |
