Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Right now, search engines see https://www.oppia.org and https://www.oppia.org/index.html (or https://www.oppia.org/index.php) as different pages.

Describe the solution you'd like
Development team to review and to consolidate duplicate URLs use Google article and the guide below.

Describe alternatives you've considered
Other solutions for SEO improvements are being evaluated and subsequently filed.

@dchen97 We don't have an index.html page on Oppia (the second link 404s). Did you mean to write something else?

Hmm this was just what I have from Asma's SEO spreadsheet. I'm not sure if this is necessary then.

Hm, would you mind following up with her? (Just in case it's an actual thing we should fix and we're misinterpreting it.)

One example I can think of is perhaps www.oppia.org and www.oppia.org/splash. For cases like this, do you have any suggestion for which of these should be canonical? (I can probably do the fix given that information, I did something similar for the www/non-www issue.) Also, are there any other such pages?
