Language detection definitely doesn't update properly in my project mediasoup.

As you can see, it keeps saying that there is 10.1% of Perl code in worker/deps folder:

However worker/deps is ignored in .gitattributes file in project's root folder:

Not sure what to ask to /linguist guys. Obviously I'm following their docs and this is supposed to work (I confirm that it used to work in the past). Problem I see is that this is not taking any effect on GitHub side. I don't know how GH applies linguist into projects to show detecte languages.

Hi @ibc, thanks for your report. Sorry, but at this time, code search does not use the .gitattributes file for language detection, which is why it's not affecting your results.

Got it. This is not currently possible. If you're in the new Code Search beta you can exclude paths from your search by using a regex like this: NOT path:/worker\/deps/
