On desktop, click your account icon, click Feature Preview near the bottom, go to Code Search, click Disable. |

+1, on latest Safari on macOS it takes a good 3 seconds or more for a link with a commit+line number (e.g. this random sample from something I'm working on) to open properly. The page twitches, flashes, and writhes as it loads the side-bar, main code view, and hopefully after 3-5 SECONDS it will actually highlight the line(s) of code you actually want to see. Please please PLEASE give us an option to simply disable the code indexing etc. I imagine most people can already navigate code way better through their editors/IDEs, and the common usecase of opening a link to a piece of code should not have to suffer so a small handful who prefer navigating directly in the site get to click on symbols and never leave their browser... |
