Crash Reporting

It will be very useful to have a form of crash reporting built in. I need to research what the best way is to do this. Some ideas:

• Collect relevant data, display to user and seek approval to share, then:
  • Generate a formatted log with useful information about the environment, past log entries and exceptions (WinNUT)
  • send data to a crash analytics service for reporting to the project (after user approval, and with a shortcut for them to open their own issue)
