Typically the Velodyne’s data is stored in PointCloud format as opposed to LaserScan. This was the case prior in Gazebo9 but not in the Ignition Gazebo.

Addition of pointcloud messages is in progress.

Velodyne data should be in point cloud messages now.

I believe this is fixed in the tunnel_circuit branch. Please re-open if the problem persists.
