Setting a folder with many subfolders as av. offline is causing ANR #3164

This will be probably included in the scope of new architecture, improving the performance.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Create a folder that contains >500 subfolders with content inside (you can use https://github.com/LLNL/fdtree to create the structure)
  2. Set the folder as av. offline

Actual behaviour

some ANRs happen

Expected behaviour

no ANRs

Update: 3.0-beta1

  • Android system does not return ANR anymore.
  • Folder syncing is browsable bur pull to refresh not available during av. offline sync. Pull to down spinner is like stucked on the top of the screen:

Now, behaviour is much improved
