If a server administrator has allowed .htaccess files to be uploaded (either because the server would ignore .htaccess or the data directory is in a non-web-accessible directory), we should be able/allowed to remove the .htaccess from the ignore-list.

As a web developer I would like to sync .htaccess-files which are part of my development sources.

Hey @adriansuter this was already requested in #5701 and has been fixed (removing .htaccess from the sync-exclude.lst) in the upcoming 2.4 client version - see 4697f02#diff-cd71f2bb271302480e87fb4ed293e244 - You can give v2.4 a try already by downloading the alpha1 from https://owncloud.org/changelog/desktop/
