Feature request: two-factor authentication

It would be great if two-factor authentication (using for example Google Authenticator) could be enabled for the web login.

This would add a 2nd level of security when logging in from machines we do not own on which key loggers could be activated, or using unsecured connections.

Imho this is a job for apache (or any other reverse proxy), not for
owncloud. Have apache make any authentication scheme you like, then use
authorization header to give userid to owncloud.

ownCloud can only benefit from having this implemented. This way it is independent of the server infrastructure security limitations or server-side lack of security features.

maybe after logging in on a new device you could be asked to open the owncloud-app and to confirm your identy.

And if your not logged in on any mobile device, owcloud could send you a mail with a verification link.
