Yes, ownCloud have the tag owncloud for people who ask things about ownCloud. I answered questions time ago.

I guess old oC forum has no value for new new iOS app

On the old app we had people that had issues related with the connection because a wrong config on the server. Because of that I included the old forums in order to give to the ownCloud user more information.
