In Padlock 1.x it was possible to navigate record fields using the arrow keys and quickly copy values using cmd/ctrl + c. This functionality should be reimplemented for 2.x.

These details are probably obvious to everyone, but I just wanted to make them explicit.

Right now, using the keyboard alone I'm able to (with Mac commands):

  • open padlock, (CMD + space)
  • enter my master password (just type it),
  • find my the record I want (CMD + "f", start typing record name, arrow down to my record)
  • select that record and see the view of it (hit enter)

At that point, all I want to do is switch form the search pane on the left to the record view pane on the right. On the desktop, it would be intuitive to use a right arrow to switch panes. But, it would be even better to get a shorter path overall. I think about ~75% of the time my username is already saved on the website I want to use and I just need the password, but it would be great to keyboard to the username and custom fields as well.

Tabbing doesn't seem to work at all, and it would be great to have more menubar items
