When importing posts from another platform, it would be necessary to specify the date of the post, so that it is listed in the right order, and so that the URL will match (hopefully).

Ideally a new field should be added to the "New Blog Post" page, that allows the user to select the date and time, and that value will be used instead of the current time.

👍 Being able to schedule a blog post:

  • The query already only displays blog posts which have a status of published and have a published date greater than this very moment
  • However, there's no input to manually provide this. Yet.

I'm going to roll a fix for this into tomorrow's release.

By the way, this is the inaugural Github issue for the new imports label, which I had overlooked until just now.

Seeing as I had a decade of blog posts on my site, support for imports is somewhat important to me. :)

If I were a betting man, I'd wager that you're very much not alone in that :)
