I'm open to using some type of mirroring service, but I don't want a bunch
of independent mirror servers and contacts all across the world. Do you
know if there are any mirroring services that can be used? It doesn't have
to be free either...
I'll research a bit and see what I can find.

Hello, sorry, downloads mirror is down for about year due to storage crash. We can make it again up. What you think @msmith626 ? I can spin up new VPS and give you root ssh access. |

I have never hosted anything that would require a mirror service, so i am not familiar with that i would guess a normal webhost would suffice. But as an alternative due the site download speed, you maybe can host the installation archives just on GitHub that has always desent speed. |

A new VPS instance so we can mimic what we had before. Unless GH accepts
lots of large file storage? I didn't think that was an option, but maybe it
is now?

The dist_files and packages directories (for downloads) have been moved to AWS CloudFront + S3 -- this gives us regional cache servers all around the world, so downloads should now be speedy everywhere. http://download.esos-project.com/ --Marc |
