No, you rock! Thanks for the Photo Booth/DB symlink and z.sh tips, they rule!

btw i just updated to mountain lion and now photobooth uses a Library..
have you tried the symlink on that setup?

I'm on Lion, and now that you mention it I'm not sure if it's using that symlink--I just copied the Library over to Dropbox and when starting photobooth it asks for the new location in a dialog. Wonder if that setting is in a plist somewhere.. can't check now, just booted into Windows.

defaults write com.apple.PhotoBooth LibraryPath -string "$(echo ~$(whoami))/Dropbox/Public/Photo Booth Library"

holy jesus. really? we should blog this trick.

Actually, we don't need to go into the defaults much, just move the library over to dropbox/public... rename it to something short. then open photobooth and choose the new location. and you're good.

Might need to create/move the directory first. Only tested on Lion myself.

Feel free to blog it, I don't have one. You can mention @danschuman if ya
feel like it.

Yup, that works too. The defaults command can just avoid that dialog is
all.
