When I double-click a timestamp field to edit it, then make the edit directly in the raw text of the field, it will allow me be to alter the date (changing the highlighted date in the calendar as I type), but when I type a time following the date then press Enter, the time in the date picker's "Time" field (usually the current time of day) is substituted instead.

If I am editing any type of date field directly, the value I enter should be used.

Version: 4.9.7

Hi @AgentFriday
Is it better or solved if you try the latest 5.2 version in development (phpMyAdmin 5.2+snapshot) also available as a non official docker image?

@williamdes, I would be reluctant to install a development version on our production server. I'd consider installing the latest stable release, if the learning curve is not too steep.

I used to have no problem editing timestamps, and have not upgraded manually, so apparently the problem was introduced by some automatic update, within the last couple months. We are using cPanel.

I can understand that, there is not much differences between a release and a snapshot version. But there is currently no GPG signing on it. You can install 5.2.0 that is a stable version and provide feedback on it. But the feedback may be outdated. Anyway we should have a release for 5.2.1 some time soon: #17830

If you are not that easy on installs you can use my easy install script: https://gist.github.com/williamdes/883f2158f17e9ed5a83d892ada56f5df
