Upgrade for newer Kafka Versions

The library still uses the kafka 2.10-0.8.2.1 version library and client.
Are there any plans to upgrade them to newer version for the new 0.9 release of Kafka.

Hi,

A contributor (Ragnar) started work on a 0.9 fork. However, the client
libraries have changed quite a lot and there's already a reasonably well
established library targeting just 0.9 (I think this was Kinsky:
https://github.com/pyr/kinsky).

Of course I'd definitely welcome work on updating the lib to work on 0.9
but given there's an alternative it's not something I'm working on much.
