Appending output with a newline allows piping the gelf formatted output to other commands as part of a chain, same as what can be done today with the passthrough output. For example, writing a gelf formatted rotating log file:
npm run start | pino-gelf log -v | logrotate-stream test.log --keep 3 --size '5m'
