Nginx reverse proxy config without domain name / AWS EC2

Hi,

I trying to follow this tutorial: https://www.markozivanovic.com/howto/how-to-install-plausible-analytics-on-ubuntu-20-10/

But according to it, a domain name is mandatory to use Plausible self-hosted.

I tried to configure the nginx reverse proxy through the nginx.conf:

server {
	listen 80 default_server;
	listen [::]:80 default_server;

	root /var/www/hosting;

	# Add index.php to the list if you are using PHP
	index index.html index.htm index.nginx-debian.html;

	server_name _;

	location / {
		proxy_pass http://127.0.0.1:8000;
		proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-For $proxy_add_x_forwarded_for;

		try_files $uri $uri/ =404;
	}

}

But I get a 404 error as you can see here: http://35.180.68.28/login

Any idea?

Solved by adding 8000 port in inbound rules.
