Correct:

msgstr "[day] [month] [year]"

The idea is that it's meant to give the translators an opportunity to change the order of the strings, not to translate some variable names. They won't work.

Incorrect:

msgstr "[mois] [jour], [année]"

msgstr "Regel Datumsformat"

msgstr "[maand] [dag], [jaar]"

And probably more. Is there a way to extract comments with instructions to the translators?

can you elaborate this issue a bit

@456535688765 the problem is that in the files that I linked, with the exception of the Italian file, they're all wrong. The [things] in the square brackets are not supposed to be translated, they're ids replaced in text by the recursive widget code.

@tiberiuichim hey, please assign this issue to me

@Tishathakral I've assigned it, but please understand that in the Plone community we don't really use "assigning issues" except to communicate that we intent to work on it. There is no "bug ownership" or "task ownership", everyone is free to work on any task.

@tiberiuichim My apologies and thank you for bringing this to my attention. I appreciate your feedback and will ensure it doesn't happen again in the future.

@tiberiuichim Hey I got this but can you please clarify do we need to set the order in day month year or if the order should be set in the standard format of that language?

@Narottamchy

the order should be set in the standard format of that language?

yes. You can either look up this information, or try to ping whoever was last translator in each language. You should also check the other language files, as well. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if there were some other similar issues in those files.
