Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Many companies have strict external sharing policy and prefer keep Sharing Capability disabled for most of the sites and enable if there is a real need for it.
When we create SharePoint Online Sites from within SharePoint Admin Portal, it creates sites with external sharing disabled. However, when we create sites with New-PnPTenantSite it would create sites with external sharing enabled by default, Admins are forced to use Set-PnPTenantSite -SharingCapability Disabled then.
It would be great if admins get ability to run a single command as this is much more streamlined and error prone.

Describe the solution you'd like
I would be happy to get one of the solutions below:

  • Have a parameter -SharingCapability available for New-PnPTenantSite
  • Make New-PnPTenantSite create sites without external sharing enabled by default

Describe alternatives you've considered

New-PnPTenantSite ...
Set-PnPTenantSite -SharingCapability Disabled
