This is starting to lead to issues like this one (pouchdb-community/pouchdb-load#11) because I have to copy-paste in the ajax.js files into any plugins, which then inevitably gets out of date.

Note that there's also a pouchdb-promise module published on npm. I think for now, though, I'm going to punt on this, because it just made the project structure of pouchdb too weird.
