After upgrading from an earlier version of Pressbooks (v3.1.2 to v3.9.7), on some books, when a user makes edits to a page and clicks the "Update" button, the user is sent to a grey page that says "Sorry, you are not allowed to edit this item." When the user then refreshes the page, the editor page loads and the user's edits were saved. This seems to occur regardless of the user's "roles" (I've tested as a network super admin, and this behavior persists).
This issue seems to be resolved by going into the Admin > Book Info area and changing the Language of the book to "English" and Saving. On books that are effected, the Language field is blank.
Steps to Reproduce
Create a book using an earlier version of Pressbooks
Update Pressbooks
Navigate to Admin > Book Info and make sure the language for that book is set to blank
Navigate back to the edit area for that book, make edits, then save the edits
Expected behavior: The edit page should reload with a message to the user saying that the changes were saved successfully.
Actual behavior: A page with the words "Sorry, you are not allowed to edit this item" loads.
