From the Protege mailing list:

We are working on an ontology with both imported and locally created object and data properties. Together the properties in the ontology number approximately 250. The Properties Tree sort order for display seems to be based on IRI. While this gives us an alpha sort for the imported properties where the IRI incorporates rdfs:label in its suffix, it does not work for the properties we are locally creating in WebProtege (which seem to sort according to the randomly generated IRI). Is it currently possible to change the object and data property sort orders to sort by ‘Display Name’ in Web Protege?

It is really an essential functionality. Now I need it urgently. Is there some way to reorder it alphabetically while this bug is not fixed?

Sorry, but until the bug is fixed there is no way to do this.
