WebProtégé Back Up Instructions

csnyulas edited this page Nov 14, 2017 · 1 revision

This page provides instructions about how to back up WebProtégé (version 2.x and upwards), to prevent potential loss of data. We highly recommend to back up your data when upgrading to a new version of WebProtégé, and at regular intervals (e.g. daily or weekly), especially if you have ontologies that you care about.

The two main places that need to be backed up is the WebProtégé data directory and the contents of the webprotege database in MongoDB. The data directory can be backed up by copying it to another location (note that you should do this regularly anyway!). Options for backing up a MongoDB database may be found here.
