Improvement: specify more clearly the words included in the annotation #69
Comments
You should see the text for each entity in both the pop-up annotation viewer as well as in the editor dialog. Is this not clear enough? Perhaps the issue you mean is that when you have global annotations enabled, you get all entities marked black with yellow text when you hover over a word and can no longer distinguish if there's multiple overlapping annotations? With regards to the colour scheme, it is assigned automatically based on the frequency of the classes. So it may indeed change after reloading/submission. (related to issue #30 perhaps) |
In the editor dialog, the text is not changing as you select/deselect new words, so a live update would be useful. |
Hmm... a live update of the text of the span in the editor dialog... that might be possible yes. |
Will be implemented for v0.7, needed for issue #3 as well |
I can backport this for v0.6.2 as well, since v0.7 will take a few weeks still.. |
Small catch if I backport this for v0.6.2, if the users selects words out-of-order then the displayed words (only in the label in the editor dialog) will be out of order as well.... It has no effect on the annotation though, that will be properly sorted. In v0.7 this will not occur. |
I don't think it's an urgent matter, and the scramble order might be a bit confusing perhaps? Perhaps best waiting until 0.7. |
During the annotation process, when the popup window appears, it would be nice to have a more clear specification of which words are included in the current annotation. This is currently not clear, especially in overlapping annotations.
This might related to the bug of markers above words. I notice the color scheme differs before/after reloading of the page.
Perhaps a possible way to improve clarity is to have the words being annotated being clearly listed in the annotation.
