Rework UI Handling

I have reworked the UI handling and tested it thoroughly.

Features have been added as proposed in #85-Rework UI Handling.

All changes have been documented in README.md and CONTRIBUTING.md and can be viewed at ccpandhare/image-sequencer:development3

We can merge this in and then go for a version bump, right?

I am not authorized to publish new versions, so, could you do it for me, please?
