The structured grid generated was shorter than the length argument.
The dimension now provides the right number of points specified.

Thanks for fixing this, @math-artist! LGTM
The duplicated points were unnecessary because we were using cylindrical coordinates and going around to 2pi which already duplicated the needed coordinate (np.linspace(0, 2*np.pi)
