qBittorrent version and Operating System

4.2.2 Windows 10 Home

If on linux, libtorrent-rasterbar and Qt version

N/A

What is the problem?

Cannot download plugins. When clicking check updates it says "Sorry, couldn't check for plugin updates. Update server is temporarily unavailable. An unknown network-related error was detected." Cannot manually add them either.

What is the expected behavior

Plugins update and install correctly.

Steps to reproduce

Click check for updates in search plugins.

Extra info(if any)

Updated and an error popped up saying python was out of date so I downloaded the newest version before it stopped working.

See this: #12270 (comment). Try the test build mentioned in that comment, and let us know if it fixes the issue for you as well.

The fix will make it officially to the next release (4.2.3).

I'm on version 4.2.5 but I have the same issue. No search plugins detected and inability to install or update. Everything terminates the same way @Maxilos9999 talked about.

@sagar-aps Please try the workaround mentioned in the top of the OP of #13122
