qBittorrent & operating system versions

Version : 4.5.0 QT6 (64 Bit)
Windows : 10
Libtorrent : 1.2.18.0

What is the problem?

After closing the application using the X the app it's still active in background process.

This is the default behaviour.
Either quit from sys tray
using File>Exit (Ctrl+Q).
Close (X) just hide it while it still works in background. Another program that does the same iirc is shareX

So this issue is a misunderstanding?

Well, this is not a normal thing to do for applications. When you press X, it's suppose to close the application and not make it a background process. I have no idea what the purpose is for this behavior. Now that I know how to close it completely now, I consider this to be a "feature" of the app. "issue" solved.

I agree and i even tried to change that in the past but the maintainer rejected it so, i don't know if there is any point in keeping this issue open. Actually i'll just go ahead and close it because the title and post are ambiguous (the process itself won't close for some people).

@thalieht thalieht closed this as not planned Won't fix, can't repro, duplicate, stale Dec 10, 2022
