Application Settings Reset After a Crash (windows 8.1)

A couple times a month, qBit crashes and resets back to default settings including all settings, column sizes and window information.

Downloads, labels files are unaffected.

Currently everything is fine but for fear of another random crash and setting wipeout, I have posted this issue here, which may be similar to the one for Linux.

it was with 3.1.5 and several other versions over the past 6 months.
i am now manually upgraded to 3.1.12 with no issue. I will inform here if
issue recurs.

I am still experiencing this issue when upgrading. Time to spend another half hour recustomizing column settings on both machines..

This doesn't seem to happen recently. It would be nice to know where the settings are restored though so we can back them up.
