qBittorrent v3.3.5
Qt: 5.7.0
Libtorrent: 1.1.0.0
Boost: 1.60.0
Arch Linux (up-to-date)

I think this has been happening since v3.3.4:-- after a force shutdown of qBittorrent (e.g. crash, forced reboot) some of the torrents that had been added (I think only some of the recent ones, but not certain) are no longer visible in qBittorrent, and if I try to readd any of those torrent by .torrent or magnet link, I get the message "Cannot add this torrent. Perhaps it is already in adding."

I have experienced a similar issue, again staring with 3.3.4 on Win 8.1.

Torrent directories are automatically created upon torrent add, but if I shred these before I initiate torrent downloading (sometimes a couple of days (or even a week) later) something screws up and random torrents go missing within the client. The .torrent files still exists in the file system, and can be re-included via torrent add client functionality, but why do they go missing in the first place? A resume point issue when a referenced directory in the file system is shredded?

If pre-allocate disk space for all files is not checked then shouldn't these directories not be created until the commencement of downloading a torrent?

@sueridgepipe

shouldn't these directories not be created until the commencement of downloading a torrent?

There is a PR that fixes that #5443

@thalieht - does this fix the whole general issue of missing torrents? Once it's applied, will the torrents re-appear? Or what behaviour is expected?

Same, as the first!

qBittorrent v3.3.5
Qt: 5.7.0
Libtorrent: 1.1.0.0
Boost: 1.60.0
Manjaro (up-to-date)

After upgrade from version 3.3.4, I've lost half of my seeds in view (from 2941 to 1332!!!). But trackers stats show all is well - all 2941 seeds in summary of 3 trackers!!! And BT_backup directory consists of the same files as with version 3.3.4. Downgrading 3.3.5 to 3.3.4 returns all seeds to my view.

Trying to add visually missing torrents in 3.3.5 leads to message - "Cannot add this torrent. Perhaps it is already in adding" .

Yep, same problem in 3.3.6.

This issue has not been resolved.

#5443 should not be closed, the bug still exists.

We are closing all issues related to old qBittorrent versions (qBittorrent < 4.1.0).
Please, update to last release and, if the bug/error/crash is still present, open another issue.
Thank you.
