Please provide the following information

qBittorrent version and Operating System

qBittorrent v4.1.1
Windows 10 1803 17134.81

If on linux, libtorrent and Qt version

n/a

What is the problem

I had 2 torrents that stalled at 99.9%. These are large torrents (22.5GB and 29.0GB) that took several days. Nothing I did was able to get them to complete until I saw an old problem (from 2012) that was the same as this. That problem indicated pausing all torrents, quitting qBittorrent, and restarting qBittorrent and restarting all torrents let the torrents complete. So I did this, and the torrents did eventually complete.

What is the expected behavior

Obviously, the torrents should have completed on their own.

Steps to reproduce

Unknown. This is the first time I've seen qBittorrent do this, and I've been using it for a few years now.

Extra info(if any)

you can also complete the torrents by "force rechecking" them, without having to restart.

still having this issue. Win 10 and 4.1.6
2019-06-14 21_46_08-qBittorrent v4 1 6

As you can see in the shot I am trying the force recheck, and it's helped with the one that was at 100% and stalled, but it did nothing for the ones at 99.9%. As you can see, I am connected to 100% seeds, and still getting nothing down

Here's my advanced settings :
2019-06-14 21_51_39-Options

I've tried the disabling caching mentioned earlier in the thread, I've tried toggling between the three connection protocol types. I've tried changing ports. I've tried with and without a VPN, and tried connecting to various countries with the VPN. My drive is 10TB with 6TB free. I have pre-allocation of files turned on.

As I said in the original post, here's what I did:

  1. Pause all torrents
  2. Quit qBittorrent and wait for it to exit
  3. Restart qBittorrent
  4. Restart all torrents

Just tried that, it didn't help. They all got going at ~25KB/s, and rapidly dropped back to stalled.

right click and try to "force recheck"

Sounds like it's not qBittorrent, and instead your ISP is throttling you. You may need to invest in a seedbox.

seeing that there are at most only 1 or 2 seeds there, you are probably downloading poisoned torrents.
Setting up seeds that report 100% available but then only sending out at most 99% of the data is often used by copyright enforcement agents to "poison the well" or waste your time, as well as start tracking users to potentially follow up with lawyer actions. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torrent_poisoning

Closing old issues related to "Stalled"/"Stalled at 99%" and similar.

If you can reproduce the problem in the newest version:

  • Make sure queuing is disabled and try again
  • Make sure your network/VPN/firewall/etc settings are correct

If the above does not help, please post a new issue with:

  • logs and settings in plain text (where are they? see here)
  • Relevant system networking configuration settings (e.g. if you're using a SOCKS5 proxy, VPN, etc)
  • detailed steps to reproduce the issue
  • screenshots to prove that the torrent has seeds and/or confirmation that the same torrent finishes using another client.
  • steps you took to mitigate the issue, if any (e.g. "after force recheck it worked", etc)

Thank you for your contributions.
