What is the bug or the crash?

When opening QGIS, it gets stuck on the 'QGIS Ready' screen. It will eventually open after ~30 minutes, but then opening a project or doing anything in the software also takes a very long time (>10 minutes per click).

JUST QGIS-OSGeo4W-3.22.8-3.msi is installed successfully. Getting stuck at the same screen as the screen above. Reproduced error on more than one computer, and with more than one version of QGIS (3.10.14 and 3.22.13). All computers Windows 10 Enterprise. It was working fine 3 days ago but now it's crashing on at least five computers.

Steps to reproduce the issue

When opening QGIS, it gets stuck on the 'QGIS Ready' screen. It will eventually open after ~30 minutes, but then opening a project or doing anything in the software also takes a very long time (>10 minutes per click).

Versions

I can't open the software to look in the help menu, but here are the LTR versions I have tried:
QGIS-OSGeo4W-3.22.8-3.msi
QGIS Desktop 3.10.14
QGIS Desktop 2.22.13

Supported QGIS version

  • I'm running a supported QGIS version according to the roadmap.

New profile

  • I tried with a new QGIS profile

There is a way in QGIS to see what is taking time at the startup. Hit F12 to reach this panel.

Thank you, Abdul. QGIS seemed to be getting hung up on a network drive that was mapped but not accessible. When I manually unmapped the network drive the problem disappeared.

It would be nice if I didn't have to manually unmap the network drives that are not accessible to use QGIS.

Is this still an issue with the latest versions? There were some improvements on handling slow drives.
