With PyQt 5.7, using @pyqtSlot with non-QObjects seems to be invalid.

I'm still investigating what's the deal exactly.

I'll push a fix for what's broken with today's snapshot, and as soon as things are more clear we should have a new patch release ASAP.

Not sure if I got all, but at least I got the ones which fail
immediately on start.
