Failing to install sf with anaconda on CentOS

Apparently, today is not a good day...while I was writing the other issue I was installing r-base and r-sf from anaconda (conda-forge channel).
Finished the installation, I was finally ready to start using sf for my analysis but...

As far as I can tell, anaconda is not a platform supported by R/CRAN, or by us; I'm afraid you'll have to ask questions of this kind with them.
