pcap-ffi provides a binding to libpcap for node.js. Unlike node_pcap it is written in pure JavaScript, it relies on node-ffi to call into libpcap. It is therefore able to support all operating systems which support node-ffi and libpcap, without having to manually recompile for every release, system and architecture.
