Pretty sure if the app is run on Unix/Apache, or supports perl and ruby, chances are python works too.

Since op5 is an applicance I wouldn't add compatibility with python payload without ensure which the python binary is available by default in the applicance.

Op5 runs Python 2.4.3. I haven't been able to verify the Barracuda one, but can yank it first:

root@op5-system:~# cat /etc/issue
op5 System 3.5.1 (Based on CentOS 5)
Kernel \r

root@op5-system:~# python
Python 2.4.3 (#1, Sep 3 2009, 15:37:37)
[GCC 4.1.2 20080704 (Red Hat 4.1.2-46)] on linux2
